Cardinal Elementary School is preparing to welcome its newest Huskie Pups and has announced kindergarten screening dates for students entering kindergarten during the 2026–2027 school year.
Kindergarten screenings will take place at Cardinal Elementary School and provide staff with an opportunity to meet incoming students, gather important information, and help ensure a successful transition into kindergarten.
Families may choose from one of the following screening dates:
August 26: 12:15 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
August 28: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
August 31: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Parents and guardians are asked to call Karen Retych at 440-632-0261 ext. 2000 to schedule a 30-minute screening appointment for their child.
Families should also plan to bring their child's school supplies to the screening appointment.

Kindergarten Split-Start Schedule
To help students become comfortable with their new learning environment, Cardinal Elementary School will once again utilize a split-start schedule for kindergarten students.
September 8: Boys Only
September 9: Girls Only
September 10: All Kindergarten Students Attend
