Today is National Read a Book Day! 📚
As a district, we encourage everyone to take some time to enjoy a good book. Whether it's exploring a new story, revisiting an old favorite, or reading together as a family, today is the perfect day to celebrate the joy of reading. Let’s continue to foster a love for books in our students and community! Happy reading!

Homecoming will be for 9-12th Grade students only. The dance will be held in the Jr./Sr. High School Gymnasium from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14th.
Ticket prices are $25.00 a piece beginning September 3rd. Tickets will be sold during lunch periods in the cafeteria and before/after 2nd Period in Miss Moon's classroom for Auburn seniors only.
Before the Homecoming game and dance, student council has created a Spirit Week for students and staff to participate in!
Monday: Bring your own candy sack (Anything but a Backpack Day)
Tuesday: Jolly vs Rancher (Hippie vs Country Day)
Wednesday: Double Bubble (Twin Day)
Thursday: Rolo out of Bed (PJ Day)
Friday: Skittles (Class Color Day)

Briar Hill Nursing Home - the nursing home in Middlefield is looking for High School students who would be interested in reading or playing a musical instrument to the residents of the nursing home. This would be an after school activity that would help they earn hours towards their graduation requirements. If anyone is interested, please contact Charlene at (440)-632-5241.

Reminder for Tuesday, September 3, the new Cardinal Elementary School times are as follows:
Arrival will begin at 8:00 a.m. We are allowing families to still drop off during this time.
Be advised, your child will sit in the cafeteria until 8:25 a.m. when students will be able to report to their respected classrooms (if they are not eating breakfast).
Breakfast is served until 8:40 a.m. Instructional time will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Dismissal will begin at 3:15 p.m. Bus times will remain the same.


Happy Labor Day! Just a reminder, there’s no school today—take this time to relax and recharge. We’ll see you all back in class tomorrow!


Cardinal High School will be offering the PSAT on October 10th at 8:00 am to any 9th, 10th or 11th graders that are interested. If you are interested in signing up, please see Mr. Floyd or Mr. George for more information. You must sign up by September 10th.

Wednesday, September 4th will be School Picture Day for all Cardinal Elementary School students and staff.
Tuesday, September 17th will be Picture Day for all Jr./Sr. High School students and staff.
Friday, September 13th will be the Homecoming football game vs. Wickliffe. Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. Crowning of the King and Queen will take place during the pregame festivities around 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, September 14th will be the Homecoming Dance. Details coming soon!
Friday, September 27th will be the first annual Alumni Band Night.

We are pleased to report that the initial weeks of the school year have seen smooth progress in the implementation of the district’s Master Facilities Plan. Superintendent Jack Cunningham shared, “Everything is going as planned. Our first few weeks have gone well, and we remain committed to continually improving our district in an effective and efficient manner.”
