This Memorial Day, Cardinal Local Schools honors and remembers the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We are forever grateful for their sacrifice and the freedoms we enjoy because of their courage.
Please note that there will be no school in observance of Memorial Day.

The Chardon Youth Running Program is a great way for students to learn the basics of running while focusing on healthy habits, fitness, and fun!
📅 Tuesdays, June 9th – July 28th
⏰ 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Registration can be completed through Chardon Rec or by scanning the QR code on the attached flyer.

Earlier this week, our 6th-grade students had a blast experimenting with making their own bubbles!
From creating the mixtures to testing the finished product, students enjoyed plenty of laughs, smiles, and hands-on learning along the way. Just look at those bubbles!

💰📚 For their final project, Mr. Cappelucci’s junior high students explored real-world financial topics such as budgeting, spending, and other important money management skills to help prepare them for their futures!

🍪📊 In Mrs. Mazzolini's AQR class, students investigated the important question: “Are Double Stuffed Oreos actually double-stuffed?”
After testing and analyzing the results, the class came to a split conclusion… so the investigation may have to continue next school year! 😄❤️🖤
🤝🏼❤️ Thank you to our district’s Cardinal Corporate Collaborative partners who recently met with our Jr./Sr. High School administration team!
We are excited to continue growing these partnerships through opportunities such as job shadowing, internships, career-focused courses, and more for our students.

🌧️🐾 Last Thursday, our 5th-grade classes visited West Woods on a wet and rainy day, but their curiosity and excitement certainly weren’t dimmed!
Students had a great time exploring the outdoors, learning about wildlife, and experiencing nature up close. What a fun and memorable trip! ❤️🖤

Thanks to the success of the annual pretzel sale fundraiser—where the building reached its $3,000 goal—Mrs. Owen made good on her promise and kissed a cow! 🐄💋
Mr. Kujala didn’t miss out on the fun either, as a group of top student sellers from the fundraiser celebrated their success by spraying him with silly string! 🎉😂
What a great celebration and an even greater accomplishment for CES! ❤️🖤

If you or your athletes would like to participate in the Middlefield Village Memorial Day Parade, please plan to arrive at the fire department by 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 25th.
The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. sharp and will conclude at the Middlefield Cemetery on Route 87.
Bring your bike, scooter, wagon, and your best patriotic spirit as we come together to honor and celebrate our community! ❤️🤍💙
