For the past several weeks, 7th Graders have been building roller coasters out of cardstock and tape, using a marble as the "car." This was a culminating project on a unit related to forces and motion gave the students many opportunities to practice collaboration, problem solving and persistence.
Middlefield Police visited Mr. Kruse's government classes this past week to talk to students about proper citizen interactions with police officers.
Thanks to Officer Naftzger (CHS Class of 2016) and Officer Daughters for their willingness to share with students and for their service to the community.

Students in second grade were given three wooden frames and then different colored blocks to form their own food pyramid. The first three blocks were represented as plants. The next several blocks represented animals that feed on plants. And the top block represented an animal that feeds on other animals that first feeds on plants. This entire activity relates to the DVD that was played for the students before they began making their food pyramids.
