🔧✨ District Master Facilities Plan Progress! ✨🔧 We are excited to share the first week of our summer updates for the district's Master Facilities Plan. "The students that are working with us this summer are doing a great job and we are ahead of schedule!" said Dave Krebs, Manager of Operations. Here’s what’s happening: Classroom Moves: Our dedicated maintenance team is hard at work assisting teachers with relocating to new classrooms as needed. This ensures that everyone is settled and ready for the upcoming school year. Playground Installation at Cardinal Elementary: The new playground is taking shape! The limestone foundation and new blacktop area are completed. We can't wait for our students to enjoy their new play area. Student Service Center at Junior/Senior High School: Construction is underway for the new Student Service Center. This center will house six new offices for our assistant principal, guidance counselor, school support, school psychologist, and speech pathologist, providing vital support services to our students. While we can't share pictures just yet, we’re excited about the positive impact this center will have on our school community. Stay tuned throughout the summer for more updates and photos as we continue to improve our facilities for a fantastic new school year!

Reminders for tomorrow! ⬇ Any students in grades 1st - 6th... There is a summer opportunity for literacy and math programs available at Jordak Elementary School from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. This program will run from June 4th - June 27th. Any responsible high school students who are interested in assisting with the program. Those students who are interested must submit a BCI/FBI background check (at no cost to you) and provide (2) school staff references. Volunteer days/times will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings from 8:45am-11:45am during the month of June. Last week our current 8th Graders took their annual class trip to Cedar Point. From there, they went to Dearborn, Michigan where they took a tour of the Henry Ford Museum and finished up at the Greenfield Village! Thank you to our staff who attended; Mr. Throckmorton, Mr. Spence, Mr. Sherman, Miss Sarah, and Mrs. Roake. The trip was amazing and our Cardinal students and staff represented very well and we couldn't be more proud of them! 🐾❤

Congratulations to our May Students and Staff of the month!
The district is seeking up to eight (8) casual labor employees for summer maintenance work within the Cardinal Local School District. This work will focus on completing the new District Facilities Plan and transporting classroom materials and furniture into the new Cardinal Elementary School and Jr/Sr High School. Candidates must at be at least 14 years of age to apply. The position is 29.5 hours/week. Pay is $10.45/hour.
